The King Khalid University at Al Faraa, Abha, for construction supervision of the competition-winning
design by ZFP which is nestled amongst the mountains 35 km outside of Abha.
Phase two started in 2009 and includes a male-only medical city consisting of an 800-bed teaching
hospital, colleges for medicine, medical sciences, dentistry and pharmacy students, as well as shared
classrooms and a conference center.
Phase three began in 2011 and includes eight administrative buildings split between two zones: five in
Zone A and three in Zone B. There are also a number of sub-projects across all the phases which will
provide infrastructure, housing, roads and service buildings.
Advanced Technical Services (ATS) Scope of work as following:
Phase 2 contains the largest building of the entire project, the 800 bed Teaching Hospital for which MEP
and finishing work is well underway. The College of Dentistry is already being prepared for preliminary
handover and the college of Pharmacy is close behind.
Phase 3 contains the iconic ceremonial area, including the 14 floor General Administration building which
is a masterpiece of traditional Aseer architecture designed for the modern era.
